lots of people think women have very limited options when it comes to money … that’s true in our cultures at least. So how they break out of this stereotype? How can they innovate away from their restrictive cultures?
Listen to our Dinar Chat Podcast for this week and we will give you some options

Bedoor: I am glad you liked the episode and found it useful. I truly believe that the power women have can make them more successful than men especially if you have well. As for you, I think you should explore your designing talent and move it from hobby to a career or at least part time job. Good luck and don’t forget my commission…..

  3. G Says:

Well first of all, I’m so proud of you guys for introducing this new segment in your Podcast which really emphasises on really sensitive and important topics that all of us can really make benefit from.

Second of all, its so true that women aren’t risk takers in Business, being brought up in a family being the only girl surrounded with brothers; which mostly are working in the investment business it really kicks up your mind to take part of the action.

In my opinion, I recon that women should educate themselves more, and try to just get that go-ahead attitude despite what our society implies what ladies “should” or “shouldn’t” do/go. I always get the “star struck” reaction from my male colleagues when I join in their conversations when we talk about the best ROI projects and why the IRR is really high, just simply because I’m a girl and i’m not supposed to know about such stuff!

Since I recently just worked, I started reading a book written by David Bach( the author of -The Automatic Millionaire-) called “Smart Women Finish Rich” it actually talks about achieving financial security and funding resources which is an amazing book, but unfortunately most ‘arabic’ women don’t want/ or have the time to read and in the end blame their situations by saying that society puts on restrictions on us and we can be better even if we want to :s
For god’s sake! Ladies make the effort atleast!

hahaha 9ij alla yester min il niswan ;)
P.s. Loved the theme song! and keep up the great work

  5. Dr. Bo Rashid Says:

G: Right on the money. I totally agree with you, but the fact that we have smart, professional and well educated women like yourself in the Arab world means that we are moving in the right direction. I think we (men & women) need to complete each other not only in social life but also in business life. I mean working side by side in the businesses field will move the entire Arab economy forward and most couples who work together in a business are more successful than one sided business partner simply because what a man might lack in business strategy and planning, a woman can complete. I applaud your thinking and courage.

Bedoor: I think you basically hit the target. All you need to do is look for any freelancing opportunity even if it involves a small project and work from home. Remember business doesn’t mean working in 3×3 office 40 hrs a week. You simply can work from home, beach, library, anywhere you like and feel comfortable with and produce your finest ideas. Don’t hesitate and start changing your life.

  6. Bedoor Says:

sureeee .. i would love it if i worked in home ..
bs i guess i have to go out awal get experience bel work load and all of that .. and then i can stand strong o agol yala i’ll work at home .. bas awal shay i must try this reall work thingy …

mainly im starting only with family and friends .. bas thats not a real business .. you know i need more reall stuff ! ..

    thanks again wayed

  7. Dr. Bo Rashid Says:

Bedoor: Cheers and remember if there’s well there’s way.

  8. Solo Says:

    ::Deera Chat Family::
    Dr. Bo Rashid & Ali,
Thank you very much for showing your interest and responding to my request. I do appreciate it =] I didn’t know that there were other women who’re interested to know about that thing like me. That’s just cool =]

Mashalla you were convincing Dr. Bo Rashid. You know what, I didn’t expect you to mention these ways of investing money although I already know about them. I expected more than indoors trades, you understand what I mean?
Honestly, I don’t have certain skill that i’m perfect at so i can work on it. I like to do many things as designing clothes, photographing, tailoring clothes, decorating, and some art stuff (but not drawing); y3ny from each skill I know a LITTLE which is not bad. And those skills are good ones to start business if I was perfect at all of them. I’ve heard that photographing makes a lot of money; you can get from hundreds to thousands of KDs for a picture, wow! (I have few pics on my blog which are the best of mine, I wish I can sell them ;p if you helped me with it i’ll share the money with you 50 50, how about that Dr.? Take a look at them then tell me about it. The pictures are about the desert in the fist few posts) =]

P.S I know i’m not just late but TOOO late to comment on this, sorry :/

  9. Dr. Bo Rashid Says:

Solo: I thought for a while that we lost you as a listener because it’s been a while since we got any comments. Nevertheless, welcome back and I am so glad you liked the episode and almost certain that you will love the next one. As for how to utilize your talent for investment, I think the number one key is never think about BIG bucks for the beginning and always star small. From what you mentioned, I think you got an amazing talent called imagination. If you combine your designing, photographing, tailoring and decorating all together, you get one big talent called IMAGINATION. I recommend you work on yourself to master one or all and soon enough this will give you an excellent return. Cheers and keep the comments coming :)

  10. Solo Says:

eheh! No I just had something to do. And enshallah Deera/Movie/Dinar Chat will not lose me as a fan ;)
Thank you so much Dr. for boosting my self confidence and enshallah I’ll work on them ALL so I can reach my gools and start business.
    Thank you again :)
